Akritas & Environmental Responsibility

Respect for the environment is so deeply ingrained in our corporate culture that the AKRITAS brand has become synonymous with ecological conscience. In conjunction with the implementation of policies according to ISO 9001:2008, major investments in production energy systems have been undertaken, with the specific aim of reducing our carbon footprint and overall environmental impact.
The corporate project comprises significant investments in the use of alternative forms of production energy that are completely environmentally friendly. As such, it has created units that produce energy by burning biomass, a process which does not create pollution since it replaces the burning of hydrocarbons. It has installed mechanical equipment and implemented certified processes for pollution monitoring and management.
Apart from protecting the environment in which it operates and for which new improvement projects are being undertaken, AKRITAS contributes actively and supports the projects of reputable environmental organizations.
