The BoD \u00a0\u00a0Ms. Lukia Saranti and CEO Efthimios Konstantopoulos had the opportunity to present a brief\u00a0 \u00a0overview of the 40 years of AKRITAS business and to report on its progress and prospects.<\/p>\n
More specifically, the effect of the company to the local community was analyzed and generally to \u00a0the Greek \u00a0\u00a0economy \u00a0, being the only Greek vertically integrated wood processing industry. Today AKRITAS has a \u00a0\u00a0staff of 240 persons, while\u00a0 \u00a0through the activation of the entire supply chain, is involved also in the parallel activation \u00a0of a large number of indirect jobs through the multiple cooperation. At the same time, it is a company that operates \u00a0\u00a0with international standards, oriented towards openness and \u00a0\u00a0with significant contribution to the current account balance of\u00a0 \u00a0the country.<\/p>\n
Similarly, issues were \u00a0\u00a0discussed- related to\u00a0the competitiveness of enterprises, focusing \u00a0to the development\u00a0of infrastructure \u00a0needed for the\u00a0provision of high quality\u00a0transit\u00a0services\u00a0through both the\u00a0port\u00a0and\u00a0the railway.<\/p>\n
In \u00a02017\u00a0the\u00a0company continued\u00a0with\u00a0the same pace\u00a0its growth,\u00a0while the prospects\u00a0for\u00a02018 are \u00a0very positive , which\u00a0immediately is reflected in immediate \u00a0plans\u00a0to\u00a0increase\u00a0its production capacity\u00a0in the\u00a0first\u00a0half by adopting\u00a0additional\u00a0shift operation.<\/p>\n
