AKRITAS is a wood processing industry with headquarters in Alexandroupolis celebrating this year 40 years since its establishment. Its products are particleboard AKRIPAN® and coated products based on this (melamine, worktops, semi-ready Postforming elements).
On the occasion of 40 years anniversary, AKRITAS company launches competition for architecture students of the Democritus University of Thrace on the issue design’s product Sample of free dimension or wall mounted or sample hand and product presentation that takes up space until 3 m². Proposals should be materialized in a draft form. The dimensions of the samples to be presented, may be varied by 15x10x0,05cm to 50x50X2cm a plurality of colors from 20 to 80 per sample.
The aim of the competition is the search for original design proposals for the Product sample books of the company, the renewal form ,which on one hand will contribute to the functional and aesthetic improvement, on the other hand will be a feature of the corporate label.
The prize for the winning design contest will be a 3 days stay trip for two to Barcelona, with all expenses paid.
The selected proposals will be presented from 3 to 13.6.2017 in the Balkan Art Gallery (Ioakeim Sgourou 8 ,Xanthi) and the announcement of the prize will be known during the opening ceremony

DETERMINATION PERIOD AND METHOD FOR SUBMISSION PROJECTS
As the deadline for the submission of projects is May 12, 2017, Friday at 15:00. After the expiry of the deadline, no study will be accepted.
The curatorial committee will examine and evaluate the proposals and will select works projects that will be presented in the report, informing the selected students via e-mail until 22.05.2017.
