On Friday, April 4, we had the pleasure of hosting students from the Department of Forestry and Environmental and Natural Resources Management of Democritus University of Thrace at our facilities. The purpose of this educational visit was to inform the students about modern wood processing practices and sustainable management of forest resources.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to have a long tour in the company’s production facilities and get to know the particleboard processing and production processes firsthand. Specialized AKRITAS executives presented to the students the technologies applied in the industry, as well as the environmental policies followed by the company for sustainable development and protection of the natural environment.
This visit was a valuable experience for the students, enabling them to connect theoretical knowledge with practice and to understand the challenges and prospects of the timber and forestry sector in Greece.
